Aura House
Project Overview

Aura House partnered with Axia to build a luxury home fragrance brand from the ground up, from brand strategy through launch ready content and a high converting Shopify experience. Inspired by quiet luxury and the emotional pull of scent, we created a full ecosystem that included identity, packaging, web, and a scalable content library for performance marketing.

The Landscape

Aura House entered a crowded fragrance and diffuser category dominated by commodity devices, trend led packaging, and content that rarely addressed how scent makes people feel in their homes. The founder’s experience at Hotel Collection highlighted a gap where visually loud brands relied on stale product only storytelling and ignored the human, emotional side of fragrance. Aura House needed to feel elevated and design forward, while remaining accessible and distinct from both prestige fragrance houses and mass market diffuser brands.

Strategic Positioning

We positioned Aura House as a luxury home fragrance brand for people who treat their space as an extension of their personal aura and who view scent as a daily ritual. Rather than leading with technology specifications, we framed the brand around emotional outcomes such as feeling transported, grounded, or energized. To make this clear for customers, we organized the product universe into four narrative collections that connected scent to memories, moods, places, and seasons.

Creative Direction

The creative direction drew from quiet luxury beauty brands with soft neutrals, generous negative space, and tactile photography that felt more editorial than typical ecommerce. From our Milanote exploration, we defined a visual vocabulary that was elevated, calm, and architectural, paired with a punchy logo and headlines like “Raise Your Aura” and “Fill the Air.” Collection specific moodboards mapped color, light, texture, and styling so every shoot, layout, and motion asset could reference a clear visual rule set.

Identity System

The Aura House identity needed to live comfortably next to aspirational home decor while still standing out on small format diffusers and bottles. We created a wordmark that balanced sharp geometry with softer details and a minimal sub mark that worked on tight packaging surfaces. A restrained neutral palette and a serif and sans serif pairing kept the system versatile across digital, print, and performance creative while allowing collection colors to shine through in photography.

Packaging

Packaging had to feel luxurious in hand yet remain approachable and functional for a consumable home product. We designed kraft exterior boxes with an embossed logo, favoring tactility and shadow over heavy ink to create an elevated and environmentally conscious impression. The clear glass bottles carried minimal labeling that foregrounded the Aura House mark and allowed collection storytelling to differentiate scents while the objects stayed calm and sculptural on display.

Web Experience

On the web experience, our goal was to create a calm editorial feel that still performed as a conversion focused direct to consumer storefront. We began with a UX driven wireframe that emphasized product education, collection storytelling, and frequent, clear paths back to adding items to the cart. Built on Shopify with a theme plus custom development, the site included an interactive collection first navigation and a fully custom Starter Kit builder that guided customers through diffuser color, scent selection, and gifts in a single flow.

Production & Content System

From the outset, we treated content as a system that could power the website, organic channels, and paid media without constant reshoots. For each scent, we designed sets that turned abstract notes into specific scenes such as sand and mirrors for Dubai, lavender fields for nostalgic florals, and water and windows for The Neutralizer. We combined ingredient forward photography, consistent lighting rules, macro video of rituals and textures, and carefully selected AI generated imagery for hard to source notes to create a cohesive, endlessly reusable asset library.
